UK government’s new code on sports integrity

The Government of the UK has published a new governance code that will set a new standard both in the country and internationally.

According to the Prime Minister, this code will become mandatory for all those sport bodies that want to receive public funding, and should come into force from 2017, and should be agreed upon by September 2016.

One of the most important things on this code is to recognize the importance of integrity in sport, given that in recent years, numerous sporting scandals have become public, and it is of a great importance to keep the sport bodies transparent and fair.
