US women soccer players denounce wage discrimination
Some members of the US national women’s team have denounced wage discrimination, according to the complaint lodged against the U.S. Soccer Federation.
These women claim that their basic earnings and bonuses are way shorter than male player’s earnings. The female national team has won several world and olympic championships, and consider unfair to get paid less than the men’s team.
On the other hand, the US Soccer Federation showed its surprise and disappointment for the actions taken by the players, considering the commitment the Federation has made over 30 years with the women’s game.
